I’m a writer and an editor, and I sit a lot. It’s embarrassing how much I sit every day. Sadly, the sedentary lifestyle is really starting to catch up with me and over the past year I’ve watched as my hip measurement started approaching my age. I’m in my mid-40s, so that’s really bad news!   So, I finally got fed up with it all and had a genius brainstorm (or hairbrained scheme as my husband may think).           I have the sneaking suspicion that I am not reading nearly enough, particularly for a writer. In the past several months, I’ve read the following: Redshirts by John Scalzi – very funny, particularly in the beginning. Wil Wheaton did a great job on the Audible version. The Lovecraft Necronomicon Primer by T. Allan Bilstad – read for research, interesting and informative. Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy – productivity audio book, good advice, but doesn’t seem like it’s for me. The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss – Excellent books.
